I'm Tired

This week has been a stressful one with Zabbie getting sick, some issues with the hubby and some inner struggle with self. I know I’ve been sweating the small stuff and I admit that I am to be blamed as well. I allowed myself to be stressed, to be hurt, to be fragile, and to be the sensitive one.

I just want to escape from all the negativity that’s sucking me whole. And I want to feel numb from all the pain. I wish I could do that without disappearing from the face of the earth.

Please say a prayer for me.

Gone Too Soon

Like a comet
Blazing 'cross the evening sky
Gone too soon

Like A RainbowFading
In The Twinkling Of An Eye
Gone Too Soon

Shiny And Sparkly
And Splendidly Bright
Here One Day
Gone One NightLike

The Loss Of Sunlight
On A Cloudy Afternoon
Gone Too Soon

Like A CastleBuilt
Upon A Sandy Beach
Gone Too Soon

Like A Perfect Flower
That Is Just Beyond Your Reach
Gone Too Soon

Born To Amuse, To Inspire, To Delight
Here One Day
Gone One Night

Like A Sunset
Dying With The Rising Of The Moon
Gone Too Soon
Gone Too Soon

The world mourns for the death of an icon. I practically grew up to his music and became a huge fan in high school (together with Juliet – my high school buddy) and even until now. Heard on the radio on the way to work that he's supposed to do a series of comeback concerts in London. Oh well, it's just sad all the controversies about him and not being able to bounce back. But he has made a mark in the music industry and that is really something that most of his fans will remember him the most.

RIP, MJ!

These Feet

Soon, these feet will walk a thousand miles
Conquering every street, every road, every path
These feet will linger to familiar and unknown places
Leaving footprints, memories and some traces

But these feet aren't too strong yet
They couldn't even stand on their own
Thus these feet will stay with me momentarily
Until they're ready to embark on a journey

Weekend Party

To the eyes of our bosses and colleagues, the party we had over the weekend was a success despite half of the company populace not in attendance. But to the committee, it was a hell of an experience with Pacific Cebu Resort’s staff and management. They had the crappiest service this side of the planet. You wanna know why?

* They don’t stick to what has been agreed.

* They made you pay for the water and dispenser. They’re serving us food and they’re supposed to provide water, right?

* If you ask for a salt, they tell you “it’s in the kitchen, get it yourself”. Whoa!!!

* If you ask for hot sauce, they cannot give one. A small carenderia always has Tabasco in case a customer would ask for one and here comes a resort who claims to be Class AA resort and yet cannot provide a hot sauce. Crap!!!

* And the beer we sent a day earlier was chilled during the event day itself. That’s why we’re sending it a day prior because we want it cold not warm during our event. And their reasoning is so stupid.

* They have unkempt facility with cobwebs hanging by the ceiling. There seems to be a water drought as well because their shower is in droplets - this according our expat who booked a room for her family.

* And the banquet manager who happens to be a colleague’s sister was nowhere to be found after we paid in full.

Why am I ranting? Considering our volume (450 guaranteed heads), we expected excellent service. Even the mere fact that one of the owners is our employee, we were also expecting some considerations to our little requests but NO, our requests landed in deaf ear.

As in any business, excellent customer service matters a lot and I mean A LOT. Word of mouth travels fast and we have blogs like this that will document our experiences with service providers just like Pacific Cebu Resort. We still have upcoming company events but it will NEVER, EVER be at Pacific Cebu Resort. Mark my word for it. And just a piece of advice to PCR... don't mess with the event committee or you'll experience their wrath in the most unimaginable way.

Most Pinoys would choose Hongkong, Singapore or Thailand as their first country of destination.  As for me and my husband, we got our firs...
