Blogging from my new HP Mini

...because owning a netbook for the first time deserves a blog post.

Presenting my new HP Mini pink chic... well, I'm not one who attaches names to their gadgets so this baby got no name.I've been wanting to have one since time immemorial but due to other priorities I just set this dream aside. I was just contented to check my facebook and do some blogging through internet shops and borrowing my sister's laptop. Yeah, such a shame!

Anyway, it's been with me for almost a week now and so far, I have been enjoying it pretty much. What I love about this is the size --- it's so small and ultra-portable that I can just stuff it inside my bag without giving hints to snatchers that I'm bringing one. And I so love the sassy design and pink color. It's so kikay --- although I'm not kikay myself but it still suits me nevertheless. I've been challenging (more like a dare) the hubby to bring it with him to coffee shops and flaunt it--- to see if he gets those "you're so gay" looks. Haha!

So, my blogging journey continues and of course, some facebook-ing and a little online business on the side.

Another Baby in the Family...

No, it isn't me, silly... not again!

We recently discovered that my younger sister A is pregnant and that she’s been keeping it from us for 7 months now. At first, I was fuming mad and I felt betrayed. How could she keep it from us all these time? What made it worst is the fact that we didn’t even get to meet the father --- hell, we didn’t even know she has a boyfriend. But then, after finally seeing her two days ago, what I felt was more on empathy. I was once like her --- I got pregnant at the same age as her and I was keeping it a secret not until after I walked down the aisle. I could just imagine the burden of hiding your bulging tummy and the different emotions and discomforts that goes with the pregnancy.

We had a hard time telling our parents especially our father. But then, we cannot just hide it from them. They need to know. We were able to blurt it out to Mama first and it wasn’t easy. She didn’t cry but I can see that she’s hurting. We gave her the burden of telling Papa. I wasn’t there when they told Papa and Magee just informed me that Papa cried really hard. Sister A has always been Papa’s favorite, his pride and I know it will break his heart learning about her predicament.

Well, there’s nothing we can do but to embrace and support my sister in any way we can. After all, that’s what family is all about.
